CHANGZHOU, China, March 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Located at the Nakhonratchasima Province, Ratanawan Monastery is one of the famous temples in Thailand. As many other widely distributed temples in the country, this temple is not that eye-catching until hundreds of pieces of PV modules are installed. The religious culture is going to encounter with modern technology perfectly.
In total, 30 pieces of 300Wp panels (9KW) will be installed on the pitched rooftop of the temple, which is going to provide enough electricity to fully support the temple's daily use. When completed, it is estimated to reduce the temple's electricity charge, which is a large expenditure for the temple. Monks in the temple are afforded with stable and cheaper electricity.
This contribution is a joint effort between BSE, Trina, Gunkul and SLT. The panels are donated by Trina Solar ("Trina"), one of the world's top silicon solar panel companies and Bangchak Solar Energy Co., Ltd. ("BSE"), Thailand's top solar electric power generation. Gunkul Engineering Public Company ("Gunkul"), Thailand's top provider in the electrical equipment space, also donated inverter for the system, and the installation will be completed by Solartron Pubilc Company Limited ("SLT").
One of Trina's senior executives said they are pleased to provide support for the religious community in Thailand for a more reliable and renewable power supply and to reduce both electricity costs and carbon emissions. As one of the corporation social responsibility projects, it practiced the faith to contribute to sustainable energy development and social responsibility.
