An agreement was reached on the cooperation of a 3D MMORPG named "The War of the Red Cliff," also the name of a popular Chinese film, which will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2007 by Beijing Perfect World.
As a well-known global online-game developer and publisher, Beijing Perfect World plans to introduce its second large-scale MMORPG called "The War of the Red Cliff" in the fourth quarter of this year. In this soon to be unveiled online-game, the new version of Angelica 3D game engine, which has been independently researched by this firm, will be installed. Different from the traditional Japanese version of the three kingdoms series, "The War of the Red Cliff" aims to offer realistic battle scenes from the era of the three kingdoms. There is no doubt that the cooperation between the two giants, in developing the theme of the three kingdoms, will set an entertainment trend by the end of 2007. After signing the contract for "The War of the Red Cliff," Beijing Perfect World will strengthen its efforts to work with film director John Woo, on integrating his film into the game. Thereby allowing gamers to have the opportunity to get the most enjoyment as possible out of the overall game.
