RICS Appoints East Asia Managing Director

HONG KONG, Aug. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) announces today the appointment of Mr Tony Ho as Managing Director of RICS East Asia. Mr Ho assumed office on the 1st of August 2015.

As the new Managing Director of RICS East Asia, Mr Ho is responsible for overseeing RICS' business development, as well as the recognition of RICS standards and qualifications for the East Asia region, covering Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, South Korea and Macau. He will continuously promote best industry practices, responsible business and membership services.

Commenting on Mr Ho's appointment, Mr Will Myles, Regional Managing Director of RICS Asia Pacific, said "Tony Ho will lead RICS East Asia to align better with our key stakeholders and understand their needs, as well as to give us better scale in serving our markets through teams with expertise in standards and regulation, membership, training and events. With close to 20 years of experience in the real estate sector, he will devote his expertise in supporting the strategic development of RICS East Asia."

A graduate of Indiana State University, Mr Tony Ho has been working in real estate and asset valuation consultation for close to two decades.  He was based in Shanghai during his tenure as the Deputy Director of RICS North Asia last year. Mr Ho proved himself a key contributor in promoting the recognition of RICS standards and qualifications and expanding RICS membership across China.
