HONG KONG, Feb. 20 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- The Asia Pacific Office of RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) announces today the appointment of Ms Jan Chan as Membership Manager, a new position that RICS Asia Pacific has recently developed due to the rapid membership growth of RICS and anticipated booming property market in Asia Pacific. Jan commenced her duty on 13 Feb 2008 and will be responsible for developing and implementing membership growth across Asia Pacific. Jan will also focus on key account management with the dominant international employers from the property and construction industry.
Jan joins RICS with a distinguished career and education background. She has obtained a Bachelor Degree of Science majoring in Electrical Engineering in Canada. In 1998, she completed a MBA degree from the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. In addition, she has rich working experience in global corporations. She has served in a German trading company specialized in industrial machinery for five years followed with a role in Marketing Manager for another German manufacturing company. Her job scopes involved operation of sales offices in Hong Kong and projects in the surrounding areas including the Guangdong Province. Her well-equipped experiences in a multi-cultural environment and background along with her strong personal nature will be valuable for RICS in membership recruitment in the Asia Pacific region.
