To Assist Members Tape into Booming Macau Property Market

HONG KONG, Sept. 13 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- In view of the continuous expansion of the Macau property market and in order to better serve our members in Macau, the RICS Hong Kong Board has approved the set up of the Macau Committee on 6 September 2007.

The main objectives of the Committee are to provide members in Macau with professional services, which can help them further develop in the flourishing market. This Committee will also contribute to help our Hong Kong Members explore business potential and job opportunities in Macau.

In the coming years, we will focus on organizing functions for members working in Hong Kong and Macau. These functions would include CPD events for members and also for existing professional institutes in Macau and social events to encourage potential members to join RICS in Macau.

Mr. Rowson Lee, Chairman of the RICS Macau Committee, said, "We are very excited with the formation of the RICS Macau Committee. With the joint effort of all committee members, we will strive to offer the best support to members in the region. Besides standard services to be provided exclusively to members, this committee will also offer value-adding market intelligence and networking opportunities to our members, leveraging on the support of the Hong Kong Board."
