RS Components recognised for contributions to local community, environment and employees
HONG KONG, June 7, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- RS Components, the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), the world's leading high service distributor of electronics and maintenance products, today announced it has received the "Caring Company" award from the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS). The company was commended for its outstanding contributions to its employees, as well as the environment and community in Hong Kong.
This is the first time that RS Components has received the award from the HKCSS, an umbrella organisation of around 400 social service agency members committed to promoting the development of social welfare in Hong Kong.

Recipients of the Caring Company Logo were nominated by NGOs in Hong Kong. Their contributions were judged by an independent panel based on three broad categories including "Caring for the Community", "Caring for the Employees" and "Caring for the Environment".
