PARIS, Sept. 20 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- MIPIM Asia today announces the decision of Shanghai Huangpu River Banks Development Construction Investment (Holdings) Co., Ltd. to exhibit at MIPIM Asia 2010. The company is the Shanghai Government's investment agency responsible for the comprehensive urban planning of seven districts bordering the waterfront of the Huangpu River. The company is also responsible for the development of the public environment, public facilities and top grade land use along the Huangpu River Banks.

The Shanghai Huangpu River Banks Comprehensive Development Project was launched in 2002 to redevelop the surrounding districts in order to optimize the strategic location bordering the Huangpu River on both the Puxi and Pudong side of Shanghai. Their objective is to redevelop and transform the existing industrial sites to become service industry focused, while maintaining the heritage of the city.

With increasing demand on prime sites in Shanghai, this is an exciting pioneer project to relocate the old industrial-based companies along the Huangpu River Banks and to rezone these sites for commercial and recreational purposes to further enhance Shanghai's development as a world class city.

Commenting on the decision to exhibit at MIPIM ASIA, a company spokesman noted: "MIPIM Asia is undoubtedly the leading real estate event in Asia with a significant number of international property developers, investment funds, commercial property operators, architects and environment designers. It is an ideal marketplace for Shanghai Huangpu River Banks Development team to showcase our achievements with the industry and negotiate new partnership opportunities with potential investors for our future projects."
