- Roamers can access same services used in home network at unmatched prices

RA'ANANA, Israel, Feb. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Simgo, global provider of the world's first commercially available virtual SIM card platform for smartphones, today announced the availability of a roaming service which allows roamers continued use of all their usual cellular services while abroad, without incurring high costs and usage fees. Using their own smartphone, users simply attach a virtual SIM-enabled protective cover that allows them to use high speed data services, enjoy toll quality telephony and retain their own mobile number for outgoing and incoming calls.

By removing their SIM card and attaching Simgo's lightweight protective cover (shown here on an iPhone 5S), users are no longer exposed to the high costs of using high speed data and making calls while abroad.

Currently, cellular users travelling abroad access network services either via WiFi, by purchasing a local/global SIM or roaming on their home SIM, all of which are inconvenient, expensive or both. Simgo's ground-breaking solution for 3G/4G networks is enabled by removing the home SIM and attaching a lightweight protective cover that connects to the SIM slot. The Simgo cover currently supports Samsung Galaxy S2/S3/S4 and iPhone 4/4S/5/5S handsets. Service availability and performance are monitored via the Simgo application, and users have access to 24/7 live customer support from anywhere in the world.

"Simgo meets the needs of millions of people around the world who feel obligated to change their cellular service habits every time they leave their home network," said Avi Ben Shlush, VP Marketing of Simgo. "Roamers travelling to over 30 countries across North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia no longer need to worry about the high costs of using their cellular phones when abroad."

Come meet us at MWC 2014 in Barcelona, Feb 24th-27th at Hall 5 Stand 5F81.
