Models Shown Include AVS Systems Tailored Specifically to China Market

BEIJING, March 22 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Telairity, a global leader in encoding technology, will showcase its multiple lines of broadcast-quality encoders at CCBN 2010, being held March 23-25 at the China International Exhibition Center (CIEC). The Telairity booth is located in Hall 6, Number 6403.

Featured will be 8000 Series systems, Telairity's exclusive line of flexible, AVC-or-AVS HD broadcast encoders. Other systems include the economical 7000 Series SD encoders, and 9000 Series high-compression SD and multi-channel HD/SD systems.

According to Ben Silva, Senior VP of Worldwide Sales and Business Development, "Telairity is the only company in the world dedicated to creating encoding systems that also has top-to-bottom ownership of all its key encoding technologies. This technology leadership lets us build the world's most advanced compression systems."

8000 Series HD encoders are scalable, fully-programmable systems offering HD video compression in real time. Single-channel models include a unit for broadcast and IPTV applications (the BE8110), and two special designs available for use in harsh electronic news gathering (ENG/DSNG) vehicle environments: one for ground vehicles (the BH8110), the other for helicopters aircraft (the BC8110).

In addition to freely converting between AVC and AVS codecs, 8000 Series systems can be upgraded easily from HD-only to dynamic dual-mode HD/SD encoding capabilities.

Telairity offers two SD product lines. 7000 Series encoders provide an economical solution for customers with moderate compression needs. For customers with severe bandwidth limitations, 9000 Series encoders generate the industry's lowest bit rates with the highest broadcast quality video.

Telairity's list of technical firsts is impressive, Silva noted:

- Creator of the TVP2000 video processor.

- First systems with "instant on"

- First profile-based system reconfiguration.

- First SD bitrates down to 500 Kbps.

- First HD encoders for aircraft

"Last year we opened our full-service Asia-Pacific office in Beijing," Silva said. "This week at CCBN, we are demonstrating the world's first hardware-based HD AVS encoder. We believe these moves demonstrate our understanding and respect for the China market, and show the strength of our commitment by introducing innovative products tailored to China's specific needs."
