The electronic telecommunications industry, for which the mobile phone is the most recognizable symbol, is one of the mainstays of the Binhai New Area, and the industry plays an important role in promoting economic development and technological innovation in the area. The organizers and supporters of this mobile phone industry exhibition hope that it will generate greater value for attending and participating enterprises, and also play an even more active role in promoting the development of the electronic telecommunications industry, both in the Bohai Economic Circle and the nation at large.

Spread out over an area of more than 20,000 square meters, this year's exhibition boasts over 600 individual exhibit booths. At this exhibition, Chinese and international brand-name mobile phone manufacturers and retailers will show off the latest technology and products, including new electronic devices such as internet-accessing laptops, smartphones, mobile internet devices (MID), e-book readers, portable game players, mobile television devices, and in-vehicle infotainment solutions (IVI), which exemplify the continuous development and innovation of the mobile telecommunications industry. Additionally, numerous enterprises, both suppliers of the thirteen main industry-related parts and product series as well as equipment manufactures, will also put forward the latest solutions for industry development at the exhibition. Many forums, which focus on industry chain integration and 3G technologies and applications, will be held at the exhibition. These forums include the International Mobile Phone Industry Exhibition and Forum Summit, the 3G-based Industry Applications Forum, the 2010 3G Value-added Services and Applications Development Forum, and the Electronics Industry Procurement Summit.
