BEIJING, March 30 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Travelers will no longer have obstructed views in Shanghai as the city's famous Bund has re-opened after three years of Expo construction. The picturesque stretch along the Huangpu River will be the site for the Shanghai 2010 World Expo opening May 1st. The construction has hindered tourists from visiting the booming city since planning went underway, but it will all be worth it now as millions of visitors come to witness the world fair.

"The Bund is the most classic part of Shanghai because you can see the beautiful skyline with its mix of classic and modern architecture; you really get a feel for the nature of the city," says Judy Huang, Travel Manager of The China Guide (http://www.TheChinaGuide.com ). "Expo 2010 will be great for travelers; they can spend a day or two at the Expo site and then spend a few days taking in the city sights and culture of China."

The Bund is one of many Shanghai sights popular for visitors. The China Guide recommends a tour itinerary that includes both city highlights as well as a full day for Expo festivities. "We have two and three day options available that include the best of both, organized at a relaxed pace. We will introduce the city's culture and history and will definitely take time to stroll the famous Bund," adds Huang.

For travelers who will turn their Expo visit into a complete China tour, The China Guide has a two-week group tour that includes a selection of cities with a full day for Expo 2010:
