To Cooperate for WCA, To Gather Together in Yinchuan

YINCHUAN, China, Dec. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- For WCA, December 9th is a special day when WCA Global eSports Summit and WCA2016 Grand Finals were held in Yinchuan City, an oasis in the hinterland.

More than 20 guests, from eSports alliances and associations of different countries cross the world, attended the WCA2016 Global eSports Summit. With emphasis on the concept of "a new planet for eSports", they explored some issues about the eSports ecosystem in different points of view.

In this summit, Xu Xuefeng, the general manager of WCA, signed MOA with guests, which aims to reach board consensus on deepening the strategic cooperation between each other; to involve International Sports Society Members to enlighten the possibilities of resource sharing and mutually rewarding within eSports industry; to create an Olympic Game-equivalent for eSports tournamnets and promote the whole eSports industry into a healthy and diversified development.

Also the plan of WCA2017 tournaments have been announced, including professional tournaments, World Contest Championship, university tournaments and Open Qualifiers for all. Professional tournaments will cover China, Asia-pacific, Middle East, America and Europe.

Another significant event to mention is that WCA2016 Grand Finals also kicked off at the capital of Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, which attracted many talented participants from more than 24 coutries and regions. WCA organized a ten-day tournament between Chinese and foreign teams and players on six main events of DOTA2, League of Legends, CS:GO, Hearthstone, Starcraft2 and Warcraft3 with the total prize pool exceeding over 200 million RMB. Besides six main events, Cross Fire, 300 Hero, MAT and Super Millet also brought Chinese and foreign audience a surprise.

In China, eSports industry still have broad market for development. WCA devotes itself to creating an Olympic Game-equivalent for eSports tournaments and hope someday eSports can also be regarded as an event of Olympic games.
