CHANGGE CITY, China, June 11 /Xinhua-PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Zhongpin Inc. (Nasdaq: HOGS) (“Zhongpin”), a leading meat and food processing company in the People’s Republic of China (“PRC”), today announced that it has engaged BDO Guangdong Dahua Delu CPAs (“BDO Dahua”), a BDO International firm, as its new independent auditor, effective June 10, 2008. BDO Dahua replaces Child, Van Wagoner & Bradshaw, PLLC (“Child, Van Wagoner & Bradshaw”), which was dismissed on June 10, 2008.
The decision to change our independent auditor was recommended, authorized and approved by the audit committee of Zhongpin’s board of directors. Zhongpin had no disagreements with Child, Van Wagoner & Bradshaw from the time of the initial engagement to its dismissal, including Zhongpin’s most recent fiscal year and the subsequent interim period, on any matter of accounting principles or practices, financial statement disclosure, or auditing scope or procedure, which, if they had not been resolved to Child, Van Wagoner & Bradshaw’s satisfaction, would have caused them to make reference to the disagreements in their reports on Zhongpin’s financial statements.
