CHONGQING, China, June 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Nexteer Automotive's non-consolidated subsidiary - Chongqing Nexteer Steering System Co., Ltd. - has been recognized by Chongqing Municipal Government as a leader in Advanced Manufacturing by adding the company into the "2018 List of Pilot Enterprises for the Implementation of Integration of Information Technology and Industrialization Management Systems in Chongqing."
This recognition acknowledges Nexteer's achievements in smart manufacturing by merging IT and manufacturing processes. This integration results in enhanced customer value and responsiveness, quality, traceability, capacity optimization, productivity and proactive decision making.
Nexteer is one of 44 companies to be included in the list of pilot enterprises. To achieve list inclusion, companies must apply and be recommended by departments under the district- and county-level economic and information commission. Then, pass expert review. The final 44 nominated enterprises will start pilot work within a year on the "Implementation of Integration of Information Technology and Industrialization Management System in Chongqing."
