Microfilm is storytelling through a digital short movie, usually produced on a small budget and a short timeframe. They typically have a high level of emotional appeal, and they are easy to watch and share.
The 15-minute microfilm Felicity and Luck is inspired by a true story from the Internet. It tells the tale of Xinyan, a lucky young man from Beijing who opens a bookstore after winning the lottery. One day he receives a postcard from a girl he doesn't know, but he feels compelled to travel to Macau to meet her. It turns out that the girl, Sze Kei, had an unexpected surprise in Beijing that inspired her to spread the spirit of felicity. After all, felicity and luck are very closely related. But are the two individuals destined to meet?
The microsite for Felicity and Luck (http://promo.galaxymacau.com/felicityandluck), will be launched on 18 November 2012 and linked from popular sites Qunar.com, Weibo and Facebook. Those who visit the microsite, watch and share will be eligible to enjoy special hotel packages.
In addition, Galaxy Macau members and fans can enter the microsite's lucky draw by simply filling out an online form on the resort's official Facebook and Weibo pages, or through partner website Qunar.com. Upon entering, participants are eligible to win one of several great prizes, including:
To celebrate the online premiere of Felicity and Luck, Galaxy Macau is also offering "Felicity and Luck" hotel packages that are available from 18 November 2012 to 31 March 2013 (booking from 18 November to 7 December 2012).
