Korea's Smart Contents Displayed at 2018 Japan DCEXPO

NIPA supports the country's smart contents in the advancement into Japanese market

SEOUL, South Korea and CHIBA, Japan, Nov. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Ministry of Science and ICT of Korea, and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA), announced they will introduce Korea's advanced smart contents at Smart Content Pavilion that will be set up during the Digital Content Expo (DCEXPO) 2018.

DCEXPO 2018, an annual digital content event, is scheduled to take place from November 14-16, 2018 in Makuhari Messe, a convention center located in the Chiba prefecture of Japan.

A total of ten kinds of smart contents based on new technologies, such as augmented reality (AR), big data, and platforms will be displayed at the Pavilion, and visitors can enjoy hands-on experience there.

With the theme of "Korean Smart Contents Everywhere", the Pavilion is set up this year for the first time in DCEXPO to support the development of Korean smart contents industry and also their advancement into the global market.

NIPA provides customized consulting services to participating enterprises by visiting them one by one before the Expo, and also selecting local buyers and partner companies including content producers, distributors, public relations agencies and telecom companies for their business matching.

In addition, NIPA will hold Korea-Japan joint business events and networking receptions, and offer professional interpretation services to enhance the performance of participating enterprises.

Since about 100 business meetings are scheduled between Korean participating companies and local buyers and investors, NIPA expects to see actual export contracts or partnership agreements between them.

Hosted by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Digital Content Association of Japan, or DCAJ, DCEXPO was first held in 2008, and celebrating its 11th anniversary this year. Every year it displays digital content production technologies and products, and a conference themed of "The Changes the Digital Technologies Have on Our Lives" is held at the same time.

Director Nung Yoon Park at NIPA said, "With the participation in DCEXPO 2018, we will sign an MOU with DCAJ and conduct pitching events for Korea's smart content enterprises to buyers and investors in Japan. We will further promote business cooperation and exchanges taking this opportunity."
