YIWU, China, Sept. 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- The 8th China Yiwu International Forest Products Fair will be held at the Yiwu International Expo Center between the 1st and the 4th of November, 2015. To date, the available 3,000 booths have all been registered, meeting 100 per cent of the registration target.
This year's exhibitors have been more engaged in their planning for event than their predecessors and the exhibition area has been expanded in comparison to all previous events. Exhibition space for Taiwanese exhibitors is in short supply. In addition to domestic exhibitors, exhibitors from around the world have registered with the highest numbers coming from South Korea, France, Australia, Brazil and Malaysia.
This year's event is divided into 8 categories - Furniture & Accessories, Timberwork & Wooden Building Materials, Wood & Bamboo Handicrafts, Wood & Bamboo Daily Necessities, Forest Food, Tea Products, Flower & Gardening and Forestry Technology & Forestry Equipment, broken down into areas for exhibition and trade, recommendations and awards as well as conferences and meetings.
The event will focus on its role as a platform for trade in forestry products as well as a facilitator of cooperation and communication between industry players. The event organizers have also set up a special exhibition space for the First Batch of Leading Chinese Forestry Products, highlighting the event's primary purpose: the promotion of trade, specialization across the sector and globalization.
To further promote the event and build an information bridge between exhibitors and visitors, organizers of the event has pulled out all the stops to attract exhibitors and visitors. They have started inviting buyers based on pre-registrations by sending out two e-mail campaigns to the 200,000 professional buyers listed in their database and making one-to-one telephone calls to a select 28,000 buyers. They also have reached out to and invited the overseas business units of China's Ministry of Commerce, overseas procurement teams, business associations and large trade firms.
Since its inception in 2008, the event has become the largest comprehensiveforest fair in the world and the best-in-class international event of its kind in China, playing an important role in communications between Chinese forestry insiders and their foreign peers.
