Actions Semiconductor Announces Annual General Meeting Results

ZHUHAI, China, May 7 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Actions Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (Nasdaq: ACTS), one of China's leading fabless semiconductor companies that provides comprehensive mixed-signal system-on-a-chip (SoC) and multimedia digital signal processing (DSP) solutions for portable consumer electronics, today announced the results from its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on May 6, 2009.

At this year's AGM, the reelection of David Lee and Yu-Hsin Lin, was approved by 87% of 243,037,760 ordinary shares voted and the appointment of Jun Tse Huang as director by 99% of 243,037,760 ordinary shares voted. Mr. Huang replaces Tzu-Yin Chiu, who has resigned to devote more time to other activities. The total number of members of the board of directors remains seven.

Mr. Jun Tse Huang currently serves as the CEO of Colorwind Technology Corporation, a position he has held since 2004. From 2001 to 2003, he was a Vice President of the Overseas department at the Guangzhou Risun Information Technology Group. Prior to that, starting in 1999, Mr. Huang served as an Executive Vice President at Global Brand Manufacturing Corporation, a Taiwan Stock Exchange listed company. From 1995 to 1998, he served as an Executive Vice President in Proview Group, a Hong Kong Stock Exchange listed company. And prior to that he was as a Vice President of Purchasing at Elitegroup Computer Systems Co., Ltd, a Taiwan Stock Exchange listed company. Mr. Huang holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Tamkang University in Taiwan.
