Dios Investment Co., Ltd. is entering the F&B market by taking over a local company and is speaking of its aspiration to establish a bridgehead for Korean investors to make an investment in Vietnam market.
Dios Investment Co., Ltd. signed a takeover contract for Bumba Milk Tea, a well-known milk tea franchise in Vietnam, in the office of Dios Investment Co., Ltd. located at the Charmvit Tower in Hanoi.
The prime reasons for Dios Investment Co., Ltd. to enter the F&B market is to improve a general understanding in the market by experiencing a local distribution network and an industrial structure among Vietnam's service industry that is undergoing rapid changes.
Prior to the contract, the Vietnam National Wage Council has appropriated a minimum monthly wage for 2018 as 2,760,000~3,980,000 VND (approx. 121.44~175.12 USD), which is a 7.3% increase compared to the last year.
From 2007 to 2015, the increase rate of a minimum wage in Vietnam has shown double digit increases which led to a rapid advancement in income levels. The domestic consumption market is expected to be expanded and accordingly an anticipation over F&B market demand is extremely high.
One of authorities from Dios Investment Co., Ltd. expressed the company's ambitions as follows: "Consumer's desire in the Vietnamese market is getting bigger and Vietnam's high penetration rate of a smartphones will enable Vietnam to embrace service businesses from other countries. With this investment, we will show how Korean seed money blooms in the service industries."
In the meantime, Bumba Mile Tea, a franchise established in Ho Chi Minh in 2013, has about 40 stores around Vietman and is a promising enterprise that was selected as Top 10 Vietnam Milk Tea Franchise in January of 2017.
Bumba Milk Tea has many loyal local customers enjoying its milk tea, made with imported ingredients that have gone through inspections in Taiwan and Singapore, and captured the appetite of local young generations by providing beverages with moderate prices.
Through this takeover contract, Dios Investment Co., Ltd. is planning to expand Bumba Milk Tea as a franchise with 150 stores in 2018.
