SHANGHAI, Dec. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Jordan Chan, a popular actor and singer from Hong Kong, made his debut appearance, decked out in an eye-catching suit, at the Galleria Island Wedding Carnival in Shanghai on November 30, 2018. He follows in the footsteps of the several superstars who had earlier visited the carnival, among them, Kenji Wu, Victor Wong (a.k.a. Pin Kuan) and Bea Hayden. Best known for his role as "Chicken" Chiu in the Young and Dangerous film series, Mr. Chan's popularity soared this year after starring in the mainland China variety show, Viva La Romance, becoming a model husband and putting behind his "bad boy" past. At the event, Chan sang several of his classic songs including Exclusive Memory, eliciting screams from the adoring fans. He also disclosed some details of his love story with Cherrie Ying, adding excitement to the wedding parties for the seven couples who married on that day and for all guests in attendance.

Some internet users said that, more than ten years ago, Chan taught us how to love and support our siblings, and now he is showing us how to love and show affection to our wives. This was the first time that Chan attended a wedding industry event, where he not only expressed his passion for Galleria's island weddings but also engaged in some animated discussions with the couples onsite, including taking photos with them and presenting them with CDs bearing his signature. In addition, the venue also featured a faithful reproduction of the St Laguna Chapel, a banquet hall with a strong sense of futuristic tech, a full-scale and accurate replica of a traditional white church, as well as a series of island scenes that have proven popular on the internet, including swings from the island of Bali and coconut tree-lined promenades. No wonder, Chan, being a man who exudes 'cool', loves it as much as his admiring female fans do.

Popular island wedding events that take place at Galleria every month, such as this one, are regularly attended by a celebrity. Galleria has partnered with dozens of celebrities including Bea Hayden, Lynn Hung, Kenji Wu, Jang Dong Gun, Orfila Wu, Victor Wong and PSY. With the many celebrities frequenting the venue, Galleria has set itself apart from its peers, causing a huge stir across the industry, while they have tried to downplay the differentiation by describing Galleria's competitive advantage in terms such as "not the most honest way of conducting business". However, Galleria has, for lack of a better way of putting it, "come out of nowhere", to become this year's biggest dark horse in China's wedding industry. The celebrity program, and the unique and romantic island styles, have come together to create a clearly identifiable and differentiated brand IP while the wedding venue provider has become a highly-regarded unicorn across the sector.

According to data from the 2017 White Paper on Marriage and Love in China, the post-90s, the generation defined as those born after 1990, has become the country's main wedding consumers. Compared with other wedding brands, Galleria quickly developed a strong sense of which celebrities to engage with in terms of both brand positioning and product creation, setting the stage for transforming the venue into the "go-to" place for destination weddings among the target age group. Since its inception, Galleria has set its focus on island-themed events. The artistic design of the wedding hall, the creation of wedding scenes with high-tech 4D immersive effects and the replication of various popular island scenes on Instagram are all faithful representations of the island weddings that couples dream of having. The crowning touch is the presence of the invited guest celebrity. As the brand that best understands the wishes of brides and grooms, Galleria has successfully met the expectations for a romantic wedding among the post-90 generation. As a result, the wedding venue provider quickly became a sought-after brand after opening for business. Galleria, which is always overbooked, has seized the hearts of the post-90 generation with its redefining of a wedding and has successfully made it part and parcel of the brand.

Headquartered in South Korea, Galleria owns and operates eight outlets worldwide. From the opening of the Shanghai location in 2017 to the more recent unveiling of the Nanchang location and collaborative efforts with peers, the most notable being Lavender Wedding, Galleria has achieved outstanding market performance. As a rising industry unicorn, Galleria's has established and continues to solidify its leadership position within the sector. Hotels with wedding venues and investors throughout the country have expressed interest in partnering with the wedding venue provider, with most requests coming from the cities where it has established outlets, especially Shanghai, Nanchang and Beijing. The young, fashionable and high-end brand and the image that it represents have won the hearts of all. Galleria, as a unique island-themed wedding brand in Asia, plans to gradually expand to all the major cities across China, in a move to create the strongest and largest wedding brand in the industry. Galleria also plans to soon go public, as it continues on its course to build an imaginative future.
