DAEGU, South Korea, Sept. 19, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Daegu Metropolitan City is hosting 'Daegu WOW Week 2019', a special campaign for Thai tourists. It is scheduled to open from October 1st until November 31st for a total of 61 days.
Daegu is coming up as a newly rising tourist destination, offering delicious eats, affordable shopping and incredible photo-spots, all helping to skyrocket the city's popularity among visitors. 'Daegu WOW Week 2019' was specifically designed for Thai tourists, offering exclusive experiences and benefits - especially for foodies (desert cafe, food alley, etc.) and shopping fans (Nike Factory, Banila co, Innisfree, etc.) as well as thrill seekers (hotel, theme park, etc.) and travelers who want to have unique experiences only available in Daegu.

Daegu Met. City is also offering special weekly offline events, and a 'WOW stamp event', allowing visitors to experience 3 major attractions in Korean tourism: 'Beauty', 'Cuisine', and 'Activities and Experiences'.
During 'Beauty Week' (October 1st ~ 6th, October 28th ~ November 3rd), famous make-up artists who have worked with various K-Stars have been invited to showcase and teach their make-up skills at special event classes. The first 30 visitors will also get an opportunity to take part in the "I'm a K-POP Star" make-up experience event, while at the Banila Co. Dong-Sung-Ro branch, visitors can pick up free gift packages.
During 'Foodie Week' (October 14th ~ 20th, November 11th ~ 17th), a local specialist will guide visitors around the Dong-Sung-Ro area, helping visitors to experience Korean cuisine and culture on the 'Korea Street Food Tour'. Visitors who reserve tickets online can enjoy the lunch tour package at 380THB and the dinner package at 630THB (1130THB and 1380THB before discounts).
The 'Activities and Experiences Week' (October 21st~27th, November 18th~24th) offers 50% discounts on tickets to 'FruitFruit', a fruit-themed exhibition, while on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, select groups each day will be given free snapshots at famous local tourist spots.
