To date, Hitachi Elevator has more than 300,000 elevators under warranty. Hitachi Elevator took the lead in implementing a standard wireless remote monitoring system for all elevators in 2013. At present, more than 220,000 elevators are being monitored at Hitachi's cloud service center. Through the firm's strong abilities in analyzing elevator data, Hitachi Elevator has shifted from reactive to proactive maintenance, using predictive technologies to detect issues before they become problems. Through cloud computing and big data, the firm delivers a preventive maintenance solution by combining the elevator's technical specifications with actual service life and service conditions.
