HTC One XL Highlighted by an Amazing Camera and Authentic Sound Experience

HONG KONG, May 3, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- HTC, a global leader in mobile innovation and design, today unveiled its new 4G LTE powered smartphone HTC One XL. With HTC One XL, users can now access to the blazingly fast 4G LTE network that offers a new level of visual entertainment and an unprecedented speed of mobile internet experience.

"HTC One XL is the first 4G smartphone within the HTC One Series. Inherited the amazing camera function and authentic sound effects of HTC One Series, HTC One XL provides users with a perfect sensory experience. The lightning upload and download speed enables users to experience the fastest browsing experience ever." said Mr. Terry Chung, Country Manager of HTC Hong Kong and Macau.

HTC One XL is a masterpiece of minimalist design. The polished rounded edges screen combined with the 8.9mm slim body gives a new definition of edginess, while enhancing the durability. The combination of HTC One XL and the 4G network data speed allows users to enjoy the "no need to buffer" visual enjoyment; together with the ultra-wide 4.7-inch 720p HD high-resolution screen, HTC One XL offers vivid imagery when watching online movies.

The HTC One XL integrates Android 4.0 (ICS) with HTC Sense™ 4, the new version of HTC's branded user experience that is introducing HTC ImageSense™, a new suite of camera and imaging features that set HTC One XL apart from other phones. HTC SenseTM 4 also includes broad enhancements to audio quality and simplifies how people listen to music on their phone.

Amazing Camera

With ImageSense™, HTC One XL rivals traditional digital cameras with improvements to every part of the camera, including the lens, the sensor, the software, and even integrating a new custom HTC ImageChip. These enhancements combine to deliver our fastest image capture, best image quality under adverse conditions and easiest interface that enables quick access to capturing stills and videos with side-by-side photo and video capture buttons.

  • Superfast Capture - HTC One XL dramatically reduces the time it takes to capture those key moments. In just 0.7 seconds users are able to take a shot, and with a new superfast 0.2-seconds autofocus, continue to take 99 shots simply by holding the shutter button.
  • Good photos in adverse conditions - HTC One XL delivers dramatic enhancements in image capture quality even in adverse conditions such as low light, no light or with bright backlighting. The f/2.0 lens on the HTC One XL offers best-in-class performance, capturing 40 percent more light than the f/2.4 lenses available on other high-end phones. HTC One XL also includes HDR, a market-leading technology, for taking great photos even when there are varying levels of brightness.
  • Video Pic (Concurrent Video/Still Capture) - With Video Pic on new SenseTM 4, users capture a photo and shoot video at the same time.  Now, while users are shooting HD video, all they to do is tapping the shutter button and it snaps a high-resolution still photo while the video continues to shoot.  Users are also able to capture a photo frame from a previously recorded video.

The advanced camera in HTC One XL offers photography on a par with traditional digital camera. Moreover, HTC integrates online data storage and sharing platform that allows users to enjoy a unique and all-rounded camera performance:

  • Dropbox integrated with HTC SenseTM 4 - HTC One XL gives users an easy way to save and share photos and videos. HTC has integrated Dropbox into HTC SenseTM 4 enabling HTC One XL customers to get up to 25 gigabytes of free Dropbox space for two years. That is enough to keep more than 10,000 high-quality photos. Dropbox is also integrated throughout HTC SenseTM 4, so it is easy to edit, save and share documents and other kinds of files.
  • Sharing photos and more - HTC One XL gives users a new way to share photos and videos. When users plug in HTC's wireless Media Link HD accessory into TV's HDMI port, users can easily share photos, videos, or anything else on the phone with friends, family or colleagues regardless of the television's brand as long as it has HDMI. The dual screen display allows users to play some movies, videos, and photos on an external display while freeing up the phone to do other things such as surfing the internet, writing and receiving messages, and more - all without visually interrupting the experience on the big screen.

Authentic Sound

With the new SenseTM 4 on HTC One XL, Beats By Dr. Dre Audio™ integration is enabled for the first time across the entire experience for richer, more authentic sound whether users are listening to favorite music, watching a YouTube™ video or playing a game, with the 3.5mm stereo audio jack.  HTC One XL also makes it easy to get and listen to music on the phone with the built-in HTC Sync software that automatically installs to user's PC or Mac computer when connected. Once connected, it is easy to transfer songs, artists and playlists from iTunes and Window Media Player music library.

Of course, people today no longer just listen to the songs stored on their phones; they use streaming services and tune into Internet radio. With SenseTM 4, HTC One XL lets users customize the new HTC Music Hub with favorite services and music applications, like the latest Soundhound technology, giving users one place to go for all music.

HTC One XL lets users take all music anywhere, including the car. With HTC One XL, users get an easy way to bring mobile music to car's sound system with the HTC Car Stereo Clip and Sense™ 4 car interface. With the aptx® bluetooth technology on HTC One XL, users can enjoy high quality stereo audio, wherever they are, with the power of Beats By Dr. Dre Audio and HTC Car.
