HOUSTON, Dec. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- INOVA Geophysical today announced that Paragon Geophysical Services, Inc. has purchased 9,000 channels of its Hawk nodal seismic acquisition system. Paragon has already deployed several thousand channels on an acquisition project in northwestern Montana. Hawk will be utilized with Paragon's existing VectorSeis® digital sensors to acquire multicomponent data. Prior to this purchase, Paragon leased Hawk from INOVA's rental partners and successfully completed two surveys with the system.

Hawk is an integral part of INOVA's Clarity Broadband Solution™ and is compatible with VectorSeis 3C and the newly designed AccuSeis™ 1C digital sensors. When combined with AccuSeis, Hawk can be configured with either one or three single component digital stations. Hawk's unique ability to support up to three analog channels or digital sensors in a single ground station provides maximum opportunity for equipment utilization across a broad array of seismic projects.

John H. Beury III, Paragon's President, said, "Paragon is always at the forefront of seismic acquisition technology. Integrating Hawk to our product portfolio enables us to provide exceptional geophysical services to our valued clients. We are highly impressed with the nodal system's flexibility and the support we have received from INOVA."

Glenn Hauer, INOVA's President and Chief Executive Officer, added, "Our Hawk nodal system is built with the flexibility, reliability, and ruggedness that our customers demand from seismic equipment. We know Paragon Geophysical will greatly benefit from these features while conducting their acquisition projects."
