nuSoftware Releases nuBuilderPro -- Better Software for Web-based Business Applications

ADELAIDE, Australia, March 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- After 12 months of development, the team at nuSoftware has released the latest version of their RAD GUI for developing web-based business applications, calling it nuBuilderPro (previously nuBuilder).

Completely redesigned from the ground up, nuBuilderPro has been engineered using JSON and jQuery, making it one of the first open source tools that is capable of building enterprise level applications. Rivaling the more established desktop software compared to the ones that are currently in use, nuBuilderPro provides a much needed alternative to products, such as Microsoft Access, within the developer community.

nuBuilderPro is essentially a BREAD (Browse, Read, Edit, Add, Delete) tool designed within a simple interface that both the developer and end user can take advantage of. Developers can also make use of additional Drag and Drop features when building Forms and Reports.

The speed of a nuBuilderPro application comes from data transfer between server and client by using a JSON object which is more compact than HTML or XML. When the JSON object arrives in the client browser, it is rendered using jQuery, taking much of the load off the server and sharing it amongst users.

One of nuBuilderPro's best features is that all custom code, including Forms, Reports and Styling is stored in the database, making back up and restoring a very simple process. Something nuSoftware's nuAdmin tool takes full advantage of, for those developers who host with them.

Because nuBuilderPro is open source, it can be hosted anywhere. On the other hand, some hosting providers offer their own development platform but do not allow any applications developed within it to leave their own servers -- a key issue when considering risk management.
