GUANGZHOU, China, Sept. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The first and third phases of the 120th China Import and Export Fair (the Canton Fair) are set to offer the world's leading retailers an upgraded International Pavilion designed to create stronger and closer cooperation between buyers and sellers. Phase one of this year's show will take place from October 15-19 and Phase three from October 31-November 4, at China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Guangzhou.

The 20,000 square meter pavilion will be divided into six sections, hosting more than 600 foreign companies from more than 40 countries and regions. Phase one will feature electronics and home appliances, building materials and hardware, and machinery equipment, while Phase three will showcase food & beverage, household items, textile material and fabric.

As the country's best procurement platform for foreign products, the International Pavilion of the Canton Fair introduces more business opportunities for global exhibitors in China. Buyers including Chinese retail giants JD.com and Suning, chain supermarkets like Carrefour and Lotus as well as brand discount site Vipshop are some of the key buyers specially invited this year.

The autumn 2016 fair will not only welcome longtime group exhibitors from Germany, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey, Egypt and India, but also newcomers from Australia and Pakistan, who will demonstrate their premium products on site.

The International Pavilion will house a number of industry leaders such as Honeywell and Caterpillar, both Fortune 500 companies, in addition to Italian household cooking appliances components producer SABAF, British cleaning appliance producer Ewbank, and many others.

Appliance maker POLYTRON, LED light producer Matrix, and home health manufacturer COWAY will be among those showcasing their latest electronics and high-tech appliances at the electronic and home appliances zone for a smarter home.

The F&B exhibition zone is also expected to maintain its prominent position at the Canton Fair, welcoming acclaimed suppliers from Germany, Turkey, Australia, the U.S. and Switzerland.

Commenting on the strategy behind the plans for next month's exhibition, Liu Quandong, Deputy Director General of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Canton Fair, said, "We also launched a wide range of interaction events to engage suppliers and buyers and to improve the efficiency of on-site negotiation. More than 80 percent of Chinese buyers have found imported products they want at the last exhibition.

"By consistently expanding our global cooperation network, we hope we could create more opportunities for companies from home and abroad to find business resources and to promote their business."
