JA Solar Establishes New Subsidiary in Mexico

BEIJING, April 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. ("JA Solar"), one of the world's largest manufacturers of high-performance solar power products, today announced the formal launch of its new subsidiary JA Solar Mexico SA de CV. ("JA Solar Mexico") in Latin America.

Based on extensive industry research, the company believes there is great potential for growth in the Latin American and Caribbean markets, especially Mexico and Chile. Industry analysts expect Latin America to account for 10% of global PV demand by 2020, and installed solar capacity in Mexico is expected to exceed 40GW in 2021. Furthermore, distributed generation is taking a growing share of Latin America's solar market, particularly in Mexico and Brazil. This new subsidiary will support JA Solar's sales and marketing effort in Latin America and the Caribbean, and demonstrates the company's commitment to the region.
