Explosion Studio Prepares for Upsurge of Global Sports Programming in South America

SAO PAULO, MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay and BUENOS AIRES Argentina, Nov. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- A team led by Xiao Li (Miko), initiator of Global Upsurge of Sport ("the Project") and General Director of the Project's flagship reality show Champion 11 ("the Show"), along with Edwin, CEO of Explosion Studio ("the Studio"), an innovative media company from China, have met with well-known footballers, local government officials and football clubs in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay to prepare for the launch of the Project and the production of the Show. A launch event and press conference of the Project is scheduled for March 29, 2019 in Beijing.

Miko said, "We've talked with several globally-renowned football players in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay, and received positive feedback and support from local governments and football clubs. Champion 11 will be produced with the participation of these football players and some clubs in South America. The show will be aired around April 2019 in China after the press conference. The 11 footballers selected from the show will go to South America for a friendly trip afterwards. We are all excited about working on such a project that will foster international cultural sports communication. Football is a topic Chinese people cares a lot about. We believe that the show will become a hot spot and drive the growth of football industry in China."

Footballers of different generations originally from the three countries have also discussed with the team about their plans to participate in the Show, including: Lucimar Ferreirada Silva, Julio Cesar, Diego Martin Forlan Corazo, Alvaro Recoba, Juan Sebastian Veron, and more.

The team also win support of local governments with the value of the Project, which is to present the local charm and culture to the Asian audience. In the meeting with Cida Borghetti, the Governor of Parana, officials of Parana agreed to support the team's local filming plan. Maria Julia Munoz, Minister of the National Education and Culture Ministry in Uruguay, showed big interest on the Project, and discussed with Miko about the plan of the National Team of Uruguay's trip to China in Mar 2019. Chiqui Tapia, current President of the AFA, also discussed with the team about the details of cooperation for the Project. 

During their trip, the team visited and discussed cooperation opportunities with several football organization and clubs, including Clube Atletico Paranaense in Brazil, Club Atletico Penarol and Club Atletico Penarol in Uruguay, as well as Argentine Football Association (AFA) and Club Atletico Boca Juniors in Argentina.
