Spirit AeroSystems Names Anderson Chief Financial Officer

WICHITA, Kan., Feb. 13 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. (NYSE: SPR), announced today that Philip Anderson has been named Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, reporting to Jeff Turner, President and CEO. Anderson has served as Interim Chief Financial Officer since October of 2009.

Anderson had previously served as Spirit's Treasurer and Vice President of Investor Relations, and has more than 20 years of experience in aerospace and finance for companies including Boeing Integrated Defense Systems and Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Anderson began his career with Boeing in 1989 and went on to serve in a variety of finance and manufacturing leadership positions. Prior to joining Spirit in 2006, he was Director of Corporate Finance and Banking for Boeing.

As Spirit AeroSystems' Chief Financial Officer, Anderson is responsible for the overall financial management of the company, its financial reporting and transparency, as well as other corporate functions including controller, treasury, investor relations, tax, long-range planning, and corporate and strategic development.

Anderson's ascension to Spirit CFO is a homecoming of sorts. Anderson earned his B.A. and M.B.A. from Wichita State University and began his aviation career in Wichita, site of Spirit's world headquarters.
