Hotel rates: A high price to pay for little in the way of customer service, or a fair deal?

SHANGHAI, May 10 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- hotel.info, the free, online hotel reservation service with more than 210,000 hotels worldwide, has carried out a survey to ascertain how satisfied their customers are with the value for money received in the hotels where they stayed.

On the basis of the more than one million hotel evaluations available on http://www.hotel.info the relationship between price and quality has now been investigated in 3 and 4 star hotels, thus determining the level of customer satisfaction. Warini Munshi, Managing Director of hotel.info Ltd said, "In contrast to a simple price ranking which is already carried out by several portals we decided to include the quality aspect as well. In the final analysis the hotel guest does not just base his or her evaluation solely on price but also expects high quality".

Here are the results of the analysis:

- Internationally: Lisbon is at the top of the list followed by Tokyo.

Major European cities dominate the listing.

- Nationally: Xi'an is the leader, closely followed by Zhuhai. Nanjing

also appears in the top 10 in China.
