NEW YORK, June 8 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Platts, a leading energy and metals information provider and a division of The McGraw-Hill Companies (MHP), is seeking nominations for the 12th annual Platts Global Energy Awards, which recognize corporate and individual excellence in the global energy industry. All nominations for the awards, which cover 18 key performance categories, must be received by September 13, 2010.
Established in 1999, the Platts Global Energy Awards has become the most recognized awards program in the industry. The 2010 Awards will continue the program’s more recent tradition of recognizing corporate leaders and companies successful at meeting domestic and global challenges in the arena of sustainable and "green" energy, efficiency and innovation.
Returning award categories include CEO of the Year, Rising Star Award, Power Company of the Year, Sustainable Technology Innovation of the Year, Energy Engineering Project of the Year, Community Development Program of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement Award, among others. As in the past, judges will select the Energy Company of the Year from the list of finalists in all other categories.
Any company doing business in the energy industry is eligible for these awards. Nominations may be submitted by the energy companies themselves, by company clients, by vendors, and/or by other industry associates.
