The Design of the Year Award went to E-Lead Electronic's model EL-828 car multimedia system that integrates navigation and entertainment. Enhanced with GPS navigation and iPod compatibility, the Windows CE-based unit supports multiple languages and a high-resolution display with its 7 to 8 inch touchscreen. The in-dash DVD player, SD card slot, USB port and auxiliary input jacks allow playback of different A/V formats. Among other features are an intelligent parking assist system and a built-in Bluetooth interface for phone book download and SMS functionality.
