SHANGHAI, June 20, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- The winners of the “International Carbon-Value Awards” were announced at the 4th World Economic and Environmental Conference (WEC) on June 18th in Qingdao. Unilever China topped the list of nearly one hundred candidates with unique effective practices in low carbon innovative area, and eventually won the “International Carbon-Value Innovative Value Award”.
The 4th WEC was sponsored by United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and International Energy Conservation Environmental Protection Association (IEEPA). The selection event for the “International Carbon-Value Awards” is the first to be organized by WEC and recognizes the best leaders and practitioners who contribute to social transition in low-carbon development and conform to its own evaluation standards as well as those of experts and the public. The evaluation criteria are based upon “Best Practice for Low-Carbon Value Transition”. The “International Carbon-Value Innovative Value Award” is set for the enterprises who have made unique and rewarding research and exploration on “policy innovation, management innovation, technological innovation, market innovation” in the low carbon field, which will have continuous innovation value and demonstration significance in the whole industry chain, and can form a set of repeatable innovation models.
