2011-12-19 08:40 3607

HONOLULU, Dec. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- WI Environmental is pleased to announce an agreement with Shenzhen Waste Management to supply its trademarked product XR-88 for remediation projects of chromium contaminated sites. XR-88 is the only product proven to permanently remediate heavy metals including hexavalent chromium and poisons turning them inert and benign to the environment.

XR-88 has been extensively tested for over seven years in both the U.S. and China and has passed and exceeded all U.S. EPA regulations and China National Standards. To date XR-88 is the only product worldwide that has passed the U.S. EPA TCLP test for leachability and achieved this with many contaminants including hexavalent chromium which has been recently reported in coal ash and other manufacturing processes and is a known cancer causing pollutant.

"We are very pleased to be able to help China and its people with their pollution remediation projects and honored to assist in any way we can," said Timothy Wandell, president of WI Environmental.

Mr. Wandell lived in China for over five years and assisted with many treatability studies and treatment projects before receiving approval of their product by the Chinese Government.

"We would like to thank the many Chinese companies we worked with, U.S. Foreign and Commercial Services and the State of Hawaii including especially Representative Jerry Chang for all their help to make this a reality. Additionally since moving our operations from Seattle to Hawaii, we have signed an exclusive distribution agreement for Europe with Navic AB and are in talks with many major companies worldwide," adds Wandell.

About Wandell WI Environmental, established in 2008, is a subsidiary of Wandell Industries. WI Environmental is the heavy metals remediation expert that can bring any contaminated site into total compliance with state and federal laws, using its innovative, trademarked XR-88™ process.
