New awards categories added to reflect different needs in the industry
HONG KONG, Nov. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Quality Properties and Facilities Management Awards 2012 (QPFMA 2012) is officially opened for nomination starting from today (1 November 2012). Nomination period will be closed by 17 January 2013 (Thursday) 12pm. The Organising Committee has designed new categories tailored to reflect different needs in the industry.
Last year, QPFMA 2010 had been a splendid event in which 155 project teams had participated, and attracted enormous audience from different industry to participated in the award ceremony dinner, which was held in Tsimshatsui. At its second year, QPFMA 2012 will follow the successful footsteps of 2010, and continue to recognise the diligent and consistent contributions made by the property and facility management professions. The core value of QPFMA is also to promote the flourishing importance of property and facility management in the society, providing security, convenience and comfort to occupiers of properties as well as users of facilities.
The two new residential categories both involve public housing property and facility management. The Organising Committee anticipated that the new residential categories can attract more quality project teams with their distinct nature. Besides, Institutional Management category is also added to the non-residential categories, which is combined with Facility Management, and aims at encouraging a wider variety of institutions to join the award. QPFMA 2012 is opened for nomination from all related enterprises.
Award categories under QPFMA 2012 include the followings of which Grand Awards, Excellence Awards and Certificates of Merits will be offered subject to quality of nominations:
1. Residential Category
1.1 Large-Scale Residential Property Management (1,501 units and above)
1.2 Medium-Scale Residential Property Management (201 - 1,500 units)
1.3 Small-Scale Residential Property Management (200 units and below)
1.4 Tenants Purchase Scheme (TPS) & Public Rental Housing (PRH)
1.5 Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) & Private Sector Participation Scheme (PSPS) & Sandwich Class Housing Scheme (SCHS)
2. Non-Residential Category
2.1 Shopping Centre Management
2.2 Office Building Management
2.3 Industrial Building Management
2.4 Institutional Facility Management
