AmCham China Debuts New Logo

2012-02-20 17:59 1920

BEIJING, February 20, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- AmCham China has launched a bold, contemporary logo that features its name in both English and Chinese, updating the design it has used for the past 14 years. The dominant colors are red and blue, chosen for their important national associations in China and the US. The streamlined new logo, recently approved by the Board of Governors, projects a contemporary, business-like image, in keeping with the organization's professional evolution and increased focus on member service.

When the previous logo was rolled out in 1998, AmCham China membership was less than one-third of its current size. The organization had only one office, in Beijing, and had not yet begun to publish its flagship annual report, the American Business in China White Paper.

Membership in the chamber, founded in 1991, now numbers 2600 individual members and 1200 companies. AmCham China has expanded geographically to include branches in Central China (Wuhan), Tianjin and Northeast China (Dalian), each of which has its own variation of the new logo. The mission of the organization has grown to include government advocacy, information and intelligence, networking opportunities, and business support services for American companies in China.
