Shi Hui, which translates to "value," is jointly established by E-House; SINA Corporation (NASDAQ: SINA) ("SINA"), a leading Internet media company serving China and the global Chinese communities; Weibo Corporation (NASDAQ: WB) ("Weibo"), a leading social media platform for people to create, distribute and discover Chinese-language content; Focus Media Holding Limited ("Focus Media"), the operator of China's largest lifestyle targeted interactive digital media network; and Shentong Express Co., Ltd. ("Shentong Express"), a logistics company whose network covers major cities and towns in China.
Shi Hui allows users to find and obtain discounts and promotions from local businesses in the areas where they work and live. Initially targeting major office buildings and certain residential compounds in Beijing and Shanghai, the mobile app also features a community-oriented social function. Shi Hui Version 1.0 includes three major functional modules: Service Provider Module allows users to search and locate nearby categorized service providers such as restaurants, shops and lifestyle services. Discount and Deal Module allows users to look for discounts, promotional offers, and free trials from nearby service providers. In addition, users can sign up for group purchase discounts. Social Network Module allows users that are in the same office building or residential compound to join or create interest groups around topics such as parenting, pets, car-pooling, exchanging of used items, etc.
Shi Hui's initial launch will cover approximately 5,000 office buildings in Beijing and Shanghai. Planned promotional activities include daily iPhone giveaways and free lunches in thousands of the targeted office buildings.
