GN Netcom Gears Up for 2008 With Wave of Senior Appointments

COPENHAGEN, Denmark, Dec. 18 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- GN Netcom, the world leader in innovative headset solutions, today announced a raft of new appointments that will help meet the company's ambitious goals in 2008 and beyond.

Jacob Schambye is appointed Senior Vice President of GN Netcom and General Manager of GN Netcom Global Sales, reporting to Toon Bouten. Schambye, a Danish citizen based in Copenhagen, will be responsible for GN Netcom's sales organizations worldwide (with the exception of GN Netcom's Mobile OEM business). Schambye was most recently Vice President and General Manager of GN Netcom Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

Jurgen Fischer will replace Jacob Schambye and assume the position of Vice President of GN Netcom and General Manager of GN Netcom EMEA. Fischer, a German citizen based in Munich, joined GN in 2001 as Managing Director for Central Europe Region.

Phyllis McCullagh will assume the position of Vice President of GN Netcom and General Manager of GN Netcom North America, reporting to Jacob Schambye. McCullagh will replace David Wood, who will be leaving GN end-2007. McCullagh joins GN Netcom from Infocus where she was Vice President of its Americas Business Unit. She brings extensive experience in managing large technology sales organizations with a strong focus on enterprise channel sales.

Shaz Khan has been appointed to the role of Vice President of GN Netcom and General Manager of GN Netcom Asia Pacific, also reporting to Jacob Schambye. Khan will replace Christian Tang-Jespersen who left GN earlier this year. Khan joins GN from Dell Corporation, where he most recently served as Director, Enterprise Sales and Operations for Asia Pacific and Japan.

Greg England will continue as Vice President and General Manager of OEM Sales, responsible for GN Netcom's business with Mobile OEM-manufacturers and he will continue to report to Toon Bouten.
