On January 5th afternoon, Las Vegas local time, a press conference titled "TV has entered into the No-screen Era" was held by global consumer electronic maker, Hisense, at the event's main venue. Hisense was the first to enter the laser theater TV market with the new "no-screen" concept. The new product that was already selling in the Mainland China market has seen a 10,000-unit sales within just the first two months. Hisense's confidence has come into rise as it departs from the reliance on a standard television set's key components. The "screen" that was pre-dominantly produced by brands like Samsung and LG used to be a vital part of similar sets. Now, that rule-the-day advantage will soon fade as screens are going to be discarded once and for all in the no-screen laser TV era.

Hisense Group's chief scientist Huang Weiping predicted: "No-screen TV" will become the future trend of the industry. A wall, or even a piece of cloth, might serve as the "screen". Hisense's laser theater TV is just a small beginning and already a successful attempt. Large-scale popularization and promotion is just around the corner. Despite the fact that the costs remain high at present, the price of a 100-inch product amounts to only one-tenth of that of an LCD TV of the same size.
