International SOS Brings Victims of Hoover Dam Bus Crash Home to China

BEIJING, Feb. 5 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- International SOS, the world’s leading provider of medical assistance and international healthcare, has been asked to repatriate the mortal remains of six deceased victims of the Hoover Dam bus crash to Shanghai and Hangzhou.

As the appointed assistance provider of the insurance company involved in this incident, International SOS is working closely with the relevant government authorities from both countries to coordinate and assist the victims and their family members.

A crisis management team involving International SOS alarm centres in Beijing, Philadelphia and Singapore was set up immediately following a call for assistance. An incident management team comprising a medical doctor and senior government liaison director from Beijing, and a senior operations manager and a medical doctor from Philadelphia were deployed to the Arizona area a day after the incident occurred. The team immediately visited the hospitals where the injured were sent and assessed those who required medical support. The role of the crisis management team is to develop a plan of action to ensure that all victims receive appropriate medical care and assistance including onward repatriation home to China.
