"The Asia-Latin America market is developing very positively ", says Mr. James Kilpatrick, Regional Managing Director of Logwin Air & Ocean Far East. "I am excited about the potential of our logistics and transportation business between Asia and Brazil and believe that with the new branch in Campinas we are in a better position to meet customers' individual needs". In addition to international air and ocean transports, the new Campinas branch also performs project management as well as a broad range of value-added services.

Campinas is situated about 100 kilometres north of Sao Paulo and is one of Brazil's most dynamic centres of business and commerce. Well-known companies from various industrial sectors such as electronics and automotive have set up operations there. With the internationally significant Viracopos airport -- South America's largest airport for freight -- and excellent road connections, Campinas is an important transportation hub.

Network expansion in Latin America

Logwin has been operating in Central and South America for over 30 years and operates its own locations in Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay. This network is reinforced through cooperation with partner organisations in Argentina, Ecuador, Columbia and Venezuela. Helmut Kaspers explains, "Having successfully established a national organisation in Mexico at the beginning of the year, our commitment in Brazil shows that we are systematically expanding our network in Latin America".
