Millions 'Stand Up and Speak Out' on the International Day for Eradication of Poverty

NEW YORK, Oct. 18 /Xinhua-PRNewswire/ -- Join us to hear the officially verified Guinness World Record number for the number of people who took part in the "Stand Up and Speak Out" challenge on the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

Last year 23.5 million people took part across 12,000 events and this year we expected to break the record with millions more joining the growing global movement of people who refuse to stay seated or silent in the face of poverty and broken promises to end it.
