New SiTF Chairman Who Understands Different Company Growth Cycle Needs

Shirley Wong, Director of Quantine Pte Ltd and Managing Partner of TNF Ventures Pte Ltd elected as the new chair-woman of Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF)

SINGAPORE, Sept. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Singapore infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF) is pleased to announce the new chairman and her council team who will lead and drive the federation to be the voice of ICT industry and catalyst of ICT adoption.

Ms Shirley Wong, Director of Quantine Pte Ltd and Managing Partner of TNF Ventures Pte Ltd has been elected as new chairman of SiTF, taking over from serial entrepreneur Mr Eddie Chau today at SiTF's Annual General Meeting.

Shirley is an entrepreneur and has more than 20 years of experience in the IT & Technology industry. She has experienced the transition of various stages of company growth. From Frontline Technologies, a home-grown SME (Small Medium Enterprise) that grows to become a public listed company, and then its subsequent acquisition by an MNC (Multi-National Corporation), British Telecom, and currently starting all over again to mentor the start-ups such as Quantine Pte Ltd and managing  an investment venture, TNF Ventures Pte Ltd.

Shirley is very familiar with the industry and with SiTF. She has been actively volunteering her service to SiTF for many years. With her rich experience, Shirley would understand and appreciate the desires and challenges of the Start-up, SME and MNC, and how she could steer SiTF to address them and to value add for them.

Shirley Wong is an entrepreneur and has more than 20 years of experience in the IT & Technology industry. She is the director to Quantine Pte Ltd, a local start-up that provides a platform that allows companies and job seekers to connect and engage without borders or time conflicts. She is also the Managing Partner of TNF Ventures Pte Ltd, an incubator under National Research Foundation's Technology Incubator Scheme. Prior to the current role, she oversees the management and operations of the BT Frontline group in Asia Pacific, driving the professional services business for IT Security, Healthcare and Applications Development.

Shirley co-founded then Frontline Technologies in 1993, before it was renamed as BT Frontline in March 2008 after BT's acquisition. She was also one of the key persons involved in the integration and alignment of the integral portfolios of BT Frontline and BT Global Services.

Currently, Shirley serves in several infocomm industry committees, including being Chairman of the Singapore Infocomm Technology Federation (SiTF), Co-chairman of the Cyber Security Awareness Alliance, Board member of Singapore Science Center and member of Temasek Polytechnic IT School Advisory Council.
