MACAU and HONG KONG, March 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- StarWorld Macau and Macau Artistes Association have joined forces in launching an unprecedented "Star Voices" concert series, set to feature an array of Macau artists at the hotel's Whisky Bar over the coming year, to promote Macau's exclusive music culture and support the development of the local music scene.
Vivian Chan, the talented Macau musician, will be the first artist to feature in the "Star Voices" concert series. Through her moving voice and endearing personality, in 2013 Vivian secured a place as one of the ten finalists in "The Voice 2" -- a renowned Hong Kong singing competition. On 30 March this year, Vivian will perform a special repertoire of relaxing Bossa Nova music for the pleasure of her audience at StarWorld Macau. Bossa Nova is one of the best-known Brazilian music genres, combining elements of samba and jazz. Originating from the beachside at Rio de Janeiro, the music echoes the tranquil lifestyle of the region.
One of StarWorld Macau's many activities in celebration of its eighth anniversary, the "Star Voices" concert series is a platform launched by the hotel to bring together local music talents and enthusiasts. Featuring a stellar line up of Macau singers, the series will include a total of twelve concerts, to take place on the last Sunday evening at 10 p.m. of each month from 30 March 2014 through 22 February 2015. Each concert will showcase the individual artists' exclusive styles.
Adding to the excitement around the concert series, Whisky Bar has prepared four exclusive customized cocktails for each quarter of the "Star Voices" concert series, themed around the four seasons - spring, summer, autumn and winter. From March to May 2014, Whisky Bar is delighted to introduce the "Spring Blossoms" cocktail. Created with Absolut Citrus, Lemoncello and fresh raspberry, "Spring Blossoms" is a refreshing, fruity and colorful cocktail, and the ideal drink for getting into a spring mood!
