Swedish National Pavilion Day

 SHANGHAI, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Between Oct. 9^th and Oct. 17^th, the Swedish pavilion will be participating in the 2010 Rolex Master Cup both as a participant and as a sponsor.  The Swedish pavilion will have its own exhibition area to showcase Swedish sports culture and the welcomed exhibitions of the pavilion. Oct. 15^th is the pavilion day of the Swedish pavilion, on this day the Swedish pavilion will bring us many activities such as “HeyRobics” gym performance, roller skating by Swedish guides, quiz on Swedish knowledge and so on. At the awards ceremony at night the delegate from the Swedish pavilion will accept the medal from the organizer and deliver a speech.

Between Oct. 9^th and Oct. 17^th, the Shanghai Tennis Masters will unveil its curtain in the Shanghai Qizhong Tennis Center. World renowned tennis stars such as Federer and Nadal will be gathering together here and will put on some spectacular performances for tennis fans in Shanghai. As a sports power of Northern Europe and also to stand by the Swedish player Robin Soderling, the Swedish pavilion is setting up a separate booth at Qizhong Tennis Center with the intention to show  the fans Swedish Sports Culture.

Oct. 15th is the pavilion day of the Swedish pavilion, and the Swedish pavilion will give the onsite audience amazing interactive activities all day long, including a HeyRobic  gym performance, roller skating from Swedish guides, table tennis matches and quizes on Swedish knowledge. From 1 p.m. the performance and activities will be carried on in the centre of the Hospitality Pavilion and at the Sweden Expo booth on the 2^nd floor of the Retail Pavilion.

At 5:30 p.m. the ceremony of the Swedish pavilion day will be launched on the stage of the Hospitality Pavilion. The ceremony’s curtain will be unveiled by the HeyRobics performance presented by 5 Swedish coaches and the guides in the Swedish pavilion. As the most popular way of exercise in Sweden in the past 30 years, HeyRobics, which is full of interactivity and involvement, will show the energy and enthusiasm of Swedish people, and also show the happy sports spirit which Sweden advocates and along with the Swedish idea of being innovative through playing. After that, the delegate from the Swedish pavilion will accept the certificate of cooperation the partner from the organizer, and give the organizer a precious souvenir from Sweden in return. At last, 4 guides from the Swedish pavilion dressed in clothes from the 1970s will come onto the stage to give the audience a magnificent roller skating show with the classic music “Dancing Queen” by the famous Swedish group ABBA, and to bring the activity of the Sweden Pavilion Day to a climax.

The exhibition area for the Swedish pavilion will be covering an area of 50 square meters - set on the second floor of the Retail Pavilion beside the Center Court. The exhibition will be coloured with yellow and blue and include a crystal architectural miniature of the Swedish pavilion, Swedish cartoon character Pippi Longstocking, table tennis interacting area and a couple of books introducing the Swedish pavilion and relevant sports knowledge in Swedish. The much beloved Swedish souvenir shop will participate in the exhibition with its popular products such as the Dala Horses and sport products, etc.

The famous Swedish tennis player Robin Soderling, who ranks number five in the world, beat the opponent by 2:0 in his first match on Oct. 13^th, which enables him to be in the top 16. Running parallel with the Tennis Masters is the "Expo Express Bus - Shanghai Tennis Masters 2010", which will be held at the Swedish pavilion in order to show our gratefulness for people who love Robin Soderling and the Swedish pavilion. On the 9^th and 19^th of September, a total of 900 lucky tennis fans, with a rolling basis of 90 per day, will be chosen out of Masters attendants to enjoy a short tour around the Swedish pavilion.
