Ensuring Amusement Facilities' Safety and a Low-carbon Environment

HONG KONG, Feb. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- TUV SUD China participated in the Electrical and Mechanical Safety & Energy Efficiency Summit in Kowloon. Mr. Frederic Maury, Managing Director of TUV SUD South Region, gave a speech on 'Ensuring Amusement Facilities Safety through Testing & Inspection'. The main theme focused on creating a safer environment for amusement facilities. This event was organized by Hong Kong Electrical and Mechanical Services Department (EMSD). Also present at the event to speak, were approximately 30 international experts from various countries such as China, Britain, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. Over 400 attendees were present at the summit.

Mr. Frederic Maury, spoke on behalf of Stefan Kasper, the head of Amusement Rides within TUV SUD explained the importance of safety testing and inspection to the summit audience, which emphasized on how to decrease risk. He also mentioned, "Amusement parks can bring more fun to people particularly under a safer play environment. TUV SUD provides one-stop services from facility design to installation to ensure that facilities' safety including structural, machinery, and electrical design to meet an internationally safe standards. Our objective is to let people have access to a safer, more enjoyable play environment."
