Wolters Kluwer China Strengthens Cooperation with the Commercial Press

BEIJING, May 27, 2011 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Wolters Kluwer China announced on May 24, 2011 that Wolters Kluwer China and the Commercial Press signed new publication license agreements to strengthen the strategic cooperation on legal publications for China and internationally. At the signing ceremony, Mr. Yu Dianli, President of the Commercial Press, Mr. Jack Lynch, Member of the Executive Board, Wolters Kluwer, and Shasha Chang, CEO Wolters Kluwer China were present. The agreement between Wolters Kluwer China and the Commercial Press will allow for China's original works to be distributed globally through Wolters Kluwer's digital publishing platform, strong global publishing systems and distribution channels. The strategic partnership between Wolters Kluwer China and the Commercial Press is a win-win cooperation, which will further strengthen and develop the co-publishing partnership between the Commercial Press and Wolters Kluwer China going forward.

In August last year, Wolters Kluwer China and the Commercial Press established a strategic alliance during the 2010 Beijing International Book Fair, with introducing and exporting Chinese legal titles as the first project for cooperation. "Today's agreement extends the alliance by exporting English copyright of the legal titles of the Commercial Press, who is the China's first print publisher and has been enjoying high reputation in China in the copyright trades and digital publication areas. This alliance laid a solid foundation for the extensive cooperation in joint development of new topics, professional educational training and practical training for Chinese professionals in the future," said Shasha Chang, CEO of Wolters Kluwer China during the speech.
