Yingli Green Energy Obtains the First JIS Q 8901 Certification from TUV Rheinland Japan

BAODING, China and TOKYO, August 13, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia-FirstCall/ -- Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited (NYSE: YGE) ("Yingli Green Energy" or the "Company"), a leading solar energy company and one of the world's largest vertically integrated photovoltaic manufacturers, which markets its products under the brand "Yingli Solar," today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Yingli Green Energy Japan Corporation, Ltd. ("Yingli Japan") obtained the first JIS Q 8901 Certification from TUV Rheinland Japan Ltd ("TUV Rheinland Japan").

The JIS Q 8901 Certification was established on February 29, 2012 in the aim to encourage wider adoption of PV power generating systems, as well as to promote product reliability and user protection in Japan solar market. The certification specifies requirements for reliability assurance system concerning design, production and product warranty for PV modules.
