The website features articles written by Jean Alberti, chef-at-large, and founding partner of two iconic San Francisco restaurants - Evvia and Kokkari. According to Alberti, Macau is becoming the next big food tourism destination in the region, he reasons: "There are all these amazing home kitchens and the casinos have attracted a number of truly world-class chefs."

ABOUT JEAN ALBERTI

All of his life, Jean Alberti has been at home in the kitchen. Raised in a restaurant family, he was bequeathed a sophisticated taste for food preparation. This genetic stamping, as it were, led to graduation with honours from the French Ecole de Hoteliere in Alsace.

Jean has his culinary skills in Michelin-starred restaurants in France and England, and has also worked across the pond as Executive Chef of Tower restaurant in Los Angeles. In 2007, Jean moved to Shanghai, where he opened a French restaurant, Shikumen Bistro, in the Heart of Xintiandi.
