"Above 1,600 key industry players have successfully reinvent the manufacturing industry and be pioneers of smart factories here in Indonesia. Setting up a nerve center for industry-leading technology, data-driven solutions and additive manufacturing were being most anticipated breakthroughs at the event, which enable people to automatically connect with the intelligent industrial and electrical machines. Data-driven solutions comprises key technologies in the nine pillars of the IoT, such as big data & analytics, cloud, and augmented reality. Key exhibitors showcasing these technologies include DMG Mori, Fanuc Indonesia, First Machinery, Inti Inovasi Teknologi, Kanematsu KGK Indonesia, Indoserako Sejahtera, Indo Kompresigma, Mitsubishi Electric Indonesia, Mitutoyo, and Prima Tigon Global.

Most machines are now very connected to Wi-Fi and internet, thus, what gave rise to this fourth industrial revolution is a rapid internet connectivity to accelerate the adoption of Internet-connected technologies across industries," added Tony Sartono, Commissioner of Kawan Lama Sejahtera, one of the key exhibitors.

According to a data by World Bank in 2017, Indonesia's contribution in manufacturing sector now boasts the highest rank in Southeast Asia, estimated to reach 20,5% to the world economy. A research from United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) added that Indonesia ranks number 4, out of 15, in the list of countries with highest contribution of manufacturing sector to GDP over 10%.
